As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate and Certified Sex Therapist, I offer professional faith-based counseling for teens, adult individuals, couples, and families. No matter what stage of life you may be in or what issues you’re struggling with, I believe healing and restoration are possible with God’s help through Christian counseling. Using a combination of evidence-based techniques from a faith-based approach, I will work with you to develop a customized treatment plan to meet your needs and help you achieve your personal and spiritual development goals.
My Goal as a Christian Counselor
My goal as your counselor is to provide you with a safe space where we can work together to creatively explore your emotions, struggles, and the roadblocks that are hindering you from further growth. My aim is to assist you by helping you establish realistic goals for your treatment and empowering you to achieve those goals.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
I offer a friendly therapeutic space where you will be greeted with a warm smile and genuine care. I provide counseling for all ages, including counseling for teen therapy, couples counseling, and family therapy. During our sessions you will be invited to share your story without fear of judgment. My hope is that your therapeutic journey will be one of the resources God uses in your life to bring about the transformation and healing you desire.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
“Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin.” (Luke 12:27-28)
Blending faith with evidence-based practice is powerful because having the Lord as our guide is foundational to our well-being. Just like the wildflowers flow and sway with trust in the Lord, serving as a Christian therapist involves deeper connection and a greater emphasis on healing. Clients are able to be confident they are being cared for in all aspects of their lives – physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
Qualifications & Experience
I am a Certified Sex Therapist with a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University and a Bachelor’s in Addiction Studies from Eastern Washington University.
My Call to Christian Counseling
Since I was a kid, I always wanted to make a difference in the world and help others overcome life challenges. I’ve always believed we can overcome difficult life circumstances with God’s help. As I became closer to the Lord, I learned that my calling is in therapy. I learned through my personal adversities and growth how powerful the Lord is and how important it is to invite God into therapy. The Lord closed doors and led me to become a therapist so I could help others have the life God planned for them. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV).
More About Me/On a Personal Note
I enjoy spending time with my husband and our son, especially when we’re together in God’s creation, exploring the world through traveling, kayaking, paddle boarding, rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, snowboarding, and snowshoeing. I enjoy reading books on psychology, personal development, theology, and of course, the Bible. I also enjoy Latin dancing with my husband, playing the guitar, drawing, and painting.

Spiritual Development
Sometimes it is hard to feel connected to the Lord, especially in times of stress. However, stressful seasons and circumstances also offer opportunities for us to grow closer to God, be molded by Him into stronger and more beautiful beings, and create space for growth. Using Christianity and evidence-based practices, I can help clients struggling with spiritual growth by providing psychoeducation and creative tools that work best for clients to grow in their relationship with the Lord.
Sex Therapy
I am a Certified Sex Therapist currently pursuing a PhD in Clinical Sexology. Although less publicly spoken about, many individuals and couples find themselves at odds with intimacy for various reasons. There is nothing to be ashamed of; instead, it sets a platform for growth. My clients will explore ways to feel safe, confident, and passionate about intimacy. Clients are presented with various tools to find what works best for them while on their journey.
Couples Counseling
Remember when you first met your love and thought you could never be upset with them, only to later find out they have flaws just like the rest of us? Having flaws is okay and not always agreeing with each other is okay – yet sometimes it is hard to navigate how to rekindle the relationship. It can feel like an endless cycle. Couples counseling sessions are extremely beneficial in creating a space where couples can reconnect and learn to respect each other.
Grief and Loss
Grief and loss are understandably difficult to heal from. Within a day there can be a wave of emotions – one minute you are thinking of a good memory you had, and the next you are wondering how you can move forward. In sessions, I work alongside my clients as we discover ways to put the pieces back together. We’ll work together to find creative, individually memorable ways to feel at peace, happy, and joyful while also remembering the ones we love.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
PTSD comes in a number of different forms, and many of them we do not even realize until it has happened to us. It can feel challenging and even lonely trying to figure out how to surpass all of the emotions. I create a safe, nurturing space while helping clients explore ways to creatively cope with trauma. We do so at the client's pace and without judgement.
