With empathy and genuine care, I will listen attentively to your story and help you determine the root causes of your concerns in order to establish the most effective treatment plan to meet your needs. Whether you’re looking for treatment for anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, or other concerns, I would be honored to use my training and decades of counseling experience to help you find solutions that will last. By using a combination of proven therapeutic techniques from a faith-based perspective and relying on God to do the ultimate work, healing and growth are possible.
My Goal as a Christian Counselor
As your counselor, my goal is to help you understand the foundation of your symptoms and regain balance in your overall physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Together we will establish a customized treatment plan based on your personal goals and take practical steps with God’s help to achieve your desired outcomes.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
During our first session together, we will determine if I am a good fit to work with you. I consider the first session my job interview. I will ask why you are seeking counseling at this time and why now. After our first session, we will identify your goal for counseling and a plan to help you achieve your goals. Each session will begin with a review of any homework from previous sessions and the results of the homework assigned. Next, we’ll cover any new events or symptoms since our last session and decide on a plan to address them. After identifying the primary issues, we will engage in the treatment of those concerns. Lastly, we will review the session and assign any new homework.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
God is the ultimate healer and provider of hope. Incorporating this belief with the gifts that God has given me to accomplish His will is vital to the healing process. I believe that God has given me the gifts to be a counselor and that I have a responsibility to use my gift to show His love for all.
Qualifications & Experience
I have a Ph.D. from Walden University, a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from City University Seattle, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Central Washington University I have been counseling for more than 35 years. I am also certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy for trauma.
My Call to Christian Counseling
I pursued a career in Christian counseling out of a sincere desire to help others and to follow His commandment to love others.

By treating the foundation of the trauma, whether complex or individual event trauma, the associated symptoms of anxiety, depression, and somatic issues decrease as a result of addressing the causes of these symptoms.
